    Parents Committee

    The Parents Committee is an important part of the life of the school. They take on the role of organising events in the broader life of the school. Some of these have a fund-raising aspect but many are designed simply as social events, allowing parents and children to get together to have fun.

    The Work of the Parents’ Committee

    The Parents’ Committee is an important part of life at the School.  We are group of parents and teachers dedicated to organising social events for parents and pupils.  We also organise fundraisers in order to support the School in providing an excellent education for our children with super facilities and materials.  Our events allow parents, staff and children to get together and have fun.

    Regular functions include our Harry Potter party, the quiz and curry night, a book fair and, of course, the popular summer fete. We actively encourage all parents to get involved with our events, whether it is manning a barbeque, running a fete stall, dressing as Moaning Myrtle or supervising a disco. 

    Parent volunteers also run the ‘nearly new’ School Shop (top floor of the Red House) where items of uniform, sports kit and accessories can be purchased.  Our typical opening hours are 8.30 to 9.00am Mondays and Wednesdays, and 3.30 to 4.00pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  If you require access to the Shop at a time when we are not usually open, please do get in touch with us at parentscomm@minsterschoolyork.co.uk and we will do our best to accommodate you.
